August Meeting

Dorothy gave a treasurer report of a total of $13,732.21 in our funds. Also the City did approve the $3000 to go to our funds for the coming year. All money requests are on hold for this month but can be presented in Sept. Our $250 request for the Photo Show and Contest next May is ready to be presented at the Sept. meeting.

The facility requests were approved for the Manteca Camera Club, for the Senior Center Photo Show and Contest in May 2010 and also for the Camera Club monthly meeting at the library. Lyn will you clear the dates with John, if you haven't already (May 14, 15, and 16th, 2010). I will take the forms to the library to clear that.

Dorothy brought in the molds that were given to MMAC. She and Edye will do an inventory of them and then decide on options for use. We may want to sell or donate them or use some to make ceramic items for sale.

Charleen Carroll and Edie worked on updating the request forms and will present a mock-up for the facility and
Funding request forms at the next meeting. Also since the By-Laws are being changed it was brought up that the book Lyn put together needs to be updated when all is completed. The book is used to give to new members and has complete info about the MMAC, and all forms used by the MMAC.

It was announced that the Historical Society will have their annual picnic in Sept. Judy handed out pamphlets regarding the up-coming events for the Manteca Kindred Arts Concert Assoc. Louise announced that the SCA will hold Sword Fighting, open classes on various topics of that period and a feast at the Senior Citizen Center this Sat

JUly 2009 Meeting

Meeting News From July 1st, 2009
Emela McLaren Representative

MCA has not heard yet if the committee gets the $3000 from the City this year. All fund requests are on hold until they find out.
The Mural Society will hold a music feast Aug. 1 at Sr. Center 3-9 pm. Kindred Arts has all 5 contracts signed for next season and are getting a website.

There was discussion on the by-laws and admin procedures. There was also discussion on updating the request forms for funding and building requests. New member packets need to be updated when bi-laws, etc. are done.
Disscussion was made in reference to nominating officers all at once (all 4) instead of splitting it up as it is now and holding an installation celebration. That means people holding office would do it for one year instead of two but could ask to be re-elected for second year.

I volunteered to make a a binder putting in events from various MAC clubs. It would be used as a Historian book to be shown at MAC events.

Gery Jones wants to donate all his ceramic molds to the MAC
